What a beautiful job being a mother. It’s even said to be the best job in the world! But it is also most exhausting. According to a study, being a mother would represent 2.5 full-time jobs. Of course  ladies, be proud to be moms, but that’s no reason to forget about yourself . You are a woman, but above all, you are a human being who needs to rest like everyone else! What better way to rest than to go on vacation?

Mothers are connected with their children in a very special way: after all, they kept them for 9 months in their tummy and brought them into this world despite the great pains of childbirth. Although fathers are increasingly involved in raising children, in most families it is mothers who do the main job as family managers.

The psychologists advise mothers to take a few days holiday alone , a week or more, depending on their abilities, to take time alone. Don’t wait until you break to realize that a break will do you good! Your life is busy every day.

It’s up to you to choose your program  to switch! Weekend relaxation at a spa, yoga retreat, visits and shopping sessions in another city or country. The possibilities are endless, it’s up to you to take the plunge! Think of yourself and your needs .

The body sends unmistakable signals that you need a break

Waking the kids up, making breakfast, taking them to kindergarten or school, and then rushing to work – for many mothers, the day begins with a lot of stress . Your boss puts you to work 150 percent and overtime is the order of the day. And at home more of the same: disputes between siblings, ironing clothes and washing dishes.

In the midst of everyday madness, mothers often complain of headaches and  dizziness . Back problems and a feeling of being exhausted. The body signals: Stop, so you cannot continue! It demands unequivocal breaks, since no one can run at full speed without endangering their health on a daily basis. If these signs are ignored, it won’t be uncommon for you to burn out over time .

Can moms really take a vacation?

Taking a break is not easy for many women. Often times the same idea haunts your mind: that everything has to be perfect. And then you have to take care of everything, which is why the idea of taking a break doesn’t really seem like the best thing to you. After all, you want to be a good mother! However, this does not have to be like this.

No one has to be perfect, not even mothers. It is not really important if the apartment looks clean and everything is always done immediately. Claiming ourselves all the time gets in the way of the need to rest. Therefore it is important to apply and practice new ways of thinking.

The role of moms

Fortunately for us, parents are increasingly involved in the distribution of daily tasks. Don’t worry, if you go away for a few days, your partner will be able to handle the kids and the house! However, on a day-to-day basis, you are probably the one who ends up doing more… There has been  a change in the division of housework, but there is still no equality in most households .

Role model for children

How are our children going to learn the importance of resting and not demanding more of us if we, as mothers, are not up to the task? Children adopt many behaviors that they see from their parents. How likely are you to show children that relaxation and regular breaks for the health of the body and soul are absolutely necessary? Think about it, maybe with a nice cup of hot tea.
