Here are some keyboard shortcuts that you probably don’t know exist that will make your work on the computer simpler and more effective.

1. To close a window instantly

Do you want to keep your windows or chat conversations hidden while you go for coffee? This shortcut will instantly lock your computer so you can enjoy your rest.

WINDOWS: Windows + L
MAC (PUTS THE COMPUTER TO IDLE): Cmd + Alt + Eject

2. To open a tab closed by accident

If you have accidentally closed a super important tab, you don’t have to go look for it in the history, this shortcut will help you fix it.

WINDOWS: Ctrl + Shift + T

MAC: Cmd + Z (Safari) y Cmd + Shift + T (Google Chrome)

3. So you don’t panic when your computer crashes

You can’t quit Photoshop and that has crashed your computer. Instead of hitting like crazy on the very famous Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart and go straight to Task Manager, you can use this other shortcut.

WINDOWS: Ctrl + Shift + Esc

MAC: Command + Option + Shift + Esc will automatically stop that application. The buttons must be pressed for 3 seconds. [Option is the key between Ctrl and Cmd]

4. To juggle windows

Do you still use the mouse to move from one activity to another? If you don’t know, there is a great shortcut that will turn your days upside down. In a second, you can switch from one browser to another on your desktop and then return to the browser by passing through the music player.

WINDOWS: Alt + Tab

MAC: Cmd + Tab

5. To copy an address in one click

Simple and practical. This combination selects the address of the page opened in the browser

WINDOWS: Alt + D

MAC: Cmd + L

6. To return to the desktop at the speed of light

It does not matter if the reason is the lack of organization or because your boss is behind you (for this you can also use the command of the shortcuts mentioned a little before), here is a combination that will allow you to return to the desktop quickly and efficiently .

WINDOWS : Windows + D

MAC: Fn + F11 or simply F11 depending on the keyboard.

7. To take a screenshot of a part of the screen and not the whole

WINDOWS : Alt + Print Screen / SysRq

MAC: Cmd + Shift + 3 (create a screenshot file), Cmd + Shift + Ctrl + 3 (copy the screenshot to the clipboard), Cmd + Shift + 4 (capture a screen selection), Cmd + Shift + Ctrl + 4 (copies a selection from the screen to the clipboard).
