To achieve everything we want, it is very important to be clear about what we really want, because if that is not clear, we can hardly be satisfied with what we achieve in life.

Every year we try to set small goals , which, as a rule, are not very motivating. For example: playing sports, starting to eat well, paying off all the loans… What if we set ourselves a truly global goal, one that motivates us 100%? In this article we will talk about how to set goals that invite us to meet them, previously knowing what we really want.

Identify the overall goal

To determine your overall goal, you need to consider three key points.

  • First of all, the lens needs to suit your natural abilities . If you think you don’t have the skills, then it’s time to do whatever it takes to recognize them. Half of the success to achieve the goal is to do the easy thing, but you must do it with all your might.
  • Second, you must be determined . In order to achieve a truly great goal, you need to train every day. Get ready because success is not a short race, but a great marathon. You will have to motivate yourself for many years. Every day.
  • Third, be humble . Don’t let the unhealthy ego overwhelm your values. Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa and thousands of other people who will be remembered by the world as the greatest humanists, did not think about the reward, but simply did their job.

Reminder in front of your eyes

Every good goal must have three qualities:

  • First of all, it must be ambitious.
  • Second, achievable.
  • Third, you should always have it in front of your eyes.

Some people usually carry a piece of paper with a description of the purpose in the wallet. Other people write and hang their goals in front of the desk. I recently tried placing the lens as a screen protector for my Smartphone and the truth is that I could not ignore it. But one of my favorite ways to remember goals is this:

Let everyone know about your goal. In the end, the more people know about your goals, the fewer opportunities you have to get out of the way.

Give it a touch of whimsy

If we want to achieve truly outstanding goals, then we must do our best. Here we must introduce the term overcompensation. In athletes, the moment of “overcompensation” comes precisely during the last approaches, when the body delivers a maximum of what it can, and even more. This is the so-called “infernal approach”, when a micro-fiber break occurs, and then nature begins the process of “overcompensation” and the muscle becomes stronger.

With the goals we must work in the same way, we can achieve outstanding objectives only by applying 100% of effort and to the maximum.

Bookmarks and reinforcing affirmations

Do you know who is the most important demotivator on the way to the goal? Yes, that is correct, we are ourselves. Furthermore, we are mostly demotivated by negative self-talk. For example, we constantly tell ourselves: “I can’t do it,” “I can’t,” “I’m always late or over time.”

All of these things need to be replaced by encouraging statements. For example, “I will be successful” , “I am single!” “I am strong!” . These statements will take us away from self-pity and bring us closer to achieving our goal.

It is also advisable to constantly ask marker questions: Am I on the right track? Did I say 100% today? How can I be more effective in achieving the goal faster?

Everyday solutions

Have the courage to reduce your to-do list if you think it should be. Nothing terrible will happen if you don’t have time today, for example, to go to the store and buy food. You still have to constantly remember those words so full of wisdom in the plane’s safety instructions. That voice that tells us: “First put the mask on yourself, and then on the child .

This is something that we should also practice in our life. If we don’t have time to do what is really important to us, then we feel unhappy. First, when you get home from work, take care of your own affairs, and then everything else.
