Story to reflect on: “The cup and the coffee”

A group of students got together to visit an old university professor, once at home the conversation focused on complaints about stress at work and life, the professor went to the kitchen to make coffee and returned with a thermos and a variety of porcelain, plastic, glass cups, some common, some expensive, some exquisite and asked the students to help themselves,

When all the students had a cup in their hand the teacher said:

“If you have noticed, all the beautiful and expensive cups have been taken, leaving behind the common and cheap ones, although it is normal that you want only the best for you, that is the origin of your problems and stress.

What they really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but consciously you took the best cups and were comparing them with the cups of others, look carefully, life is coffee, but their jobs, money and their social position are cups ,

Cups are only tools to sustain and contain life, but the quality of life does not change, sometimes by concentrating only on the cup we stop enjoying the coffee that is in it, therefore, do not let the cups guide you … better enjoy the coffee. ”
