Most toxic ingredients in the food industry are followed by phrases to make them look “safe”, such as: “to prevent”, or “added freshness” or “to preserve flavor.  These little phrases really mean deep down that they are not good for your health.

The United States has several leading regulatory agencies and “cancer prevention” organizations, which have not only helped to suppress natural cures for cancer, but have approved and supported cancer-causing agents in foods, beverages, and cosmetics, since the Second World War.

Preservatives and synthetic agents found in processed foods inhibit oxygen and delay the development of fungi and mold, serving to create a longer shelf life for products.

However, after being consumed, these toxins deprive humans of oxygen in cells and rob them of nutrients, leading to cell mutation and the perfect breeding ground for cancer. Like humans, cells need oxygen to survive and thrive.

10 Toxic Ingredients from the Food Industry

This is how it is explained why these toxic ingredients and more from the food industry, are still part of the food that is bought in the supermarket.

1. Sodium benzoate

Sodium benzoate is one of the great toxic ingredients. It is a known carcinogenic additive that when eaten or applied to the skin, it is transported to the liver, where it is supposed to be filtered and expelled in the urine, but the damage is done before the process is complete.

Sodium benzoate chokes nutrients from your body at the cellular DNA level by starving the cells’ mitochondria of oxygen, sometimes completely shutting them down. Just as humans need oxygen to breathe, cells need oxygen to function properly and to fight infection, including cancer.

The FDA says that it is safe because the amount used to preserve food is very low, but do not think about combining it with vitamin C or E, as this causes the benzoate to form. This is dangerous.

Never mix vitamin C with processed foods such as pickles, bell peppers, salad dressings, jams, most condiments, fruit juices, sauces, grated cheese, ketchup, diet or regular soda.

Don’t forget about mouthwashes, toothpaste, cough syrup, creams, lotion, hundreds of cosmetic products, and even foods labeled “natural.”

But why is this ingredient in food? It is the cheapest mold inhibitor on the market. Acidic foods tend to grow bacteria, mold and yeast more easily than non-acidic foods, this is how sodium benzoate extends shelf life, while shortening human life.

2. Canola oil

This artificial oil is super popular and is found in over 30% of all products. Canola oil is actually rapeseed oil and can cause emphysema and respiratory distress, eventually leading to cancer.

Canola oil is bad because it is sensitive to heat oil fragile s and has undergone a process of excess heat and pressure and other chemicals.

It contains a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids that undergo internal molecular reaction at high temperatures, particularly in combination with iron and oxygen, such as in a skillet, or when cooking pre-made foods in a factory, such as spaghetti sauce.

You end up with molecules in the body that they just can’t handle.

The process in question is called lipid peroxidation. Lipid peroxidation is why Penn State nutrition professor Kris-Etherton advises against canola oil for cooking at high temperatures for long periods of time.

So before you pour canola oil into the pan to fry your potatoes, remember that it belongs to one of the toxic ingredients in the food industry.

3. Monosodium glutamate (MSG)

The FDA allows 20 “pseudo” names for MSG, including yeast extract, free glutamate, glutamic acid, soy lecithin, calcium caseinate, hydrolyzed corn, hydrolyzed soy protein, and maltodextrin to name a few. But just because a product says “No MSG” or “No MSG” does not mean it is not there.

MSG comes in many processed foods and snacks from the food industry. Oils similar to high fructose corn syrup and partially hydrogenated, consumers should get in the habit of looking for MSG.

MSG does not occur naturally in whole foods, so you don’t have to worry about apples or bananas. Manufacturers are required to declare on their label whether MSG is included in their products.

Unfortunately, it could fall under different headings that we mentioned above, making it very difficult to keep up with foods that contain the additive.

Many people mention headaches, redness, poor attention problems and other symptoms, as well as diseases such as fibromyalgia, to the intake of MSG, which for that and more makes it part of the most important list of toxic ingredients in industrial foods.

4. Sodium nitrate (nitrosamines)

It is used for fertilizers and explosives, and as a solvent in the dry cleaning industry. Sodium nitrate maintains the hemoglobin molecules in the blood to carry oxygen to the tissues of your body.

It is considered a “super salt” (such as monosodium glutamate) that is added to foods such as hot dogs, cold cuts, and bacon to increase shelf life, color, and flavor. These toxic ingredients have been linked to cancer.

5. Margarine

The body cannot incorporate trans fatty acids into the membranes, which causes deformations in cell structures. L to shortening and partially hydrogenated vegetable oils accelerate aging and degenerative changes in the tissues.

Health Effects Caused by Trans Fatty Acids:

  • Increased risk of coronary heart disease
  • High levels of LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) and low levels of HDL (good cholesterol)
  • Decreased fertility
  • Decreased immune response
  • Increased blood insulin levels and increased risk of diabetes

6. Defoamers

(Dimethylpolysiloxane) It is an industrial chemical used in waterproofing and sealants. This component is used mainly in fast food such as chicken nuggets and eggs.

He is also on the lookout for TBHQ, a petroleum derivative, which is used as a stabilizer in perfumes, resins, varnishes and petroleum chemicals in the field and linked to stomach tumors and DNA damage.

7. Anti-caking agents

Anti-caking agents are chemicals that absorb moisture. These are added to table salt and food-derived powders. These are often composed of phosphate, carbonate, silicate, and oxides of aluminum-containing components.

Aluminum is linked to Alzheimer’s disease and is also used in the flu vaccine, making it one of the toxic ingredients in food that may be wreaking havoc on health today, according to studies.

8. Artificial colors

Artificial colors are toxic ingredients from the food industry that you have used for decades.

From those chocolates that float in your milk bowl with bright orange colors, to the most common household foods that contain ingredients such as Red # 40 (the most widely consumed artificial coloring) and Yellow # 5.

However, the dangers of artificial coloring are often a food safety issue , with many claiming that being toxic ingredients have been a factor in the rise of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) in recent years.

Interestingly, many natural colors previously used for colored foods contain toxins like mercury, which is why, in the last century, companies began creating synthetic solutions to replace harmful natural dyes. Unfortunately, these new artificial colors came with their own set of problems.

9. Emulsifiers

Carrageenan, Polysorbate 80 and Brominated Vegetable Oil (BVO). These toxic ingredients are typically found in chocolate milk – and other milks -, cottage cheese, ice cream, infant formula, jelly, and dressings, among others.

BVO remains in body fat for years. Polysorbate 80 is also found in most vaccines.

Emulsifiers are ubiquitous toxic ingredients in food products, helping immiscible ingredients to blend together.

But in a recent experiment, it was determined that these ingredients can cause the accumulation of fat in the body.
The two chemicals tested were Polysorbate-80 and Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC), both of which are in a category that the FDA considers “safe.”

The study also linked these additives to the so-called metabolic syndrome – a syndrome linked to symptoms that include obesity, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.

This study was done for a number of reasons, first of all, people have been getting fatter over the past 50 years and scientists are studying different ways the environment has changed.

Second, some emulsifiers are known to act as detergents and it was suspected that they could disrupt the mucous membranes that separate friendly bacteria from the intestinal walls.

What was found was that these tested chemicals did indeed cause “bacterial invasion” behind the mucosal barrier that must separate them from the intestinal walls.

10. Artificial sweeteners

Artificial sweeteners contain various toxic ingredients such as aspartame, acesulfame K, sucralose, sorbitol, truvia, and of course, saccharin. Due to their sweet taste, these chemical sweeteners trick the body into addiction for long periods of time, turning rancid in body fat.

Fake sugars are the “Trojan horses” suffocating cells and wreaking gigantic havoc, by agents of the food industry. Sorbitol is also found in many vaccines.
