A useful idea when you don’t have access to regular shampoo or water. It’s quick to use, inexpensive, and removes the messy look from your hair.
Just mix the following ingredients:

2 tablespoons of rice flour
2 tablespoons of arrowroot powder
2 tablespoons of corn starch
6 to 10 drops of lemon or lavender essential oil

Stir rigorously for about 3-4 minutes. Then apply directly to the roots, or to your hands and rub into the root area. Brush the mixture, distributing evenly before styling as usual.

* Use organic ingredients if possible.
* Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder (pure and unsweetened) for dark hair.
* Feel free to substitute any type of essential oil.
* Break up any lumps that may form from the oil with your hand or the back of a spoon.
* Store in glass jars.
