How to make a sports drink at home

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of orange juice
  • 1/4 cup organic sugar (muscovado)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Water

This recipe is for a liter of sports drink.

This is the method

  • Add 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of salt (kosher or sea salt) to 1/2 cup of hot water. – Stir until completely dissolved.
  • Add 1/2 cup of orange juice and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the sugar and salt water.
  • Add a few ice cubes to each bottle, pour the juice mixture into the middle of each bottle, and then
    fill the rest with cold water.
  • Shake the bottles so the ice cubes cool the hot water. You are ready to drink.
