2. German Apple Pie

Ingredients:

  • Icing sugar to decorate (optional)
  • 4 large apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
  • 100 g of butter, at room temperature
  • 200 gr + 65 gr of muscovado sugar
  • 125 gr of all-purpose flour
  • 2 L eggs, at room temperature

preparation:

  1. Put the oven to heat to 180º.
  2. Prepare a circular mold 23cm in diameter, spreading butter and placing parchment paper on it.
  3. Beat the 10g of butter with 200g of the sugar.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time and mix.
  5. Add the vanilla, flour and baking powder to the mixture and pour the final mixture into the mold.
  6. Wash, peel and cut the apples, removing the core into small slices.
  7. Place the apples on the dough, sinking with your fingers and covering the surface.
  8. Mix the cinnamon with the remaining sugar and sprinkle the mixture on top of the apples.
  9. Leave the mold in the oven until the surface is golden brown. This should happen after 50 to 60 minutes.
  10. Remove and let cool.
  11. Sprinkle with icing sugar once cool (this step is optional).

3. Apple Pie without Puff Pastry

Ingredients:

  • 175g of yeast flour
  • 175g Muscovado sugar
  • 175g butter at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon icing sugar (optional)
  • 3 Eggs L.
  • ½ Kilo of apples

Elaboration:

  1. The oven should be preheated to 180 ° and spread the mold with a little butter
  2. Beat the butter and sugar for 5 min. with a mixer or by hand with the shovel tool at a constant medium speed until a smooth and fluffy mixture is obtained
  3. Add the eggs to the mixture and beat with each egg that is added.

  6. Pour half the mixture into the mold, then place half of the apples, cover with the other half of the mixture and garnish on top with the rest of the apples.
  7. Mix the icing sugar and cinnamon and then sprinkle on the cake to caramelize the apples .
  8. Bake for 30 to 40 min. Or until when puncturing the center with a stick it comes out clean
  9. Remove the cake from the oven and let it rest for 10 min.

4. Alsatian apple pie

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp. Muscovado sugar or coconut sugar
  • 250 ml. cream (milk cream)
  • 125 gr. Butter
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 250 gr. sifted flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 kg. apples
  • 50 gr. Brown sugar
  • Vanilla essence
  • 125 ml white wine
  • Lemon zest

Elaboration:

  1. We must mix the butter with 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and a little salt, obtaining a fluffy cream .
  2. We will gradually integrate the flour and the wine, then we put it in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Then we must shape the dough, stretching it and with a round shape then we place it in a cake mold. We press the edges and place it in the fridge again.
  4. We proceed to peel and cut the apples, we remove the core and chop them into fine pieces . We remove the mixture from the refrigerator and placing them on the mold we sprinkle a tablespoon of sugar.
  5. We must have the oven preheated to 225 ° C. We put the cake and bake for about 30 minutes.
  6. We take the eggs and the sugar and beat until they form a foam, add a touch of vanilla, a little lemon zest, pour the cream, mix and finally add on the cake. To finish, it is baked for 10 to 20 minutes more and that’s it.

Ingredients:
